The Tucson Marathon occurs every winter here in Tucson and attracts entrants from all over the world. Race day for the Marathon in Tucson this year is on Sunday December 2, 2007. Here is a Tucson Marathon Registration Form if you wish to enter.
Wintertime temperatures in Tucson for race week usually average in the high 30's for start time and reach the mid 60's by the afternoon so it makes for perfect race weather. As Marathons go, the Tucson Marathon is a relatively easy one being mostly downhill. This is a great race if you are a first timer or if you are getting in a qualifying race under your belt for one of the larger races. Because the Tucson Marathon is mostly downhill many people record their personal bests on this course. In addition, this is a beautiful course with Mountain and desert views in all directions. Lots of fun things to do here in Tucson either before or after the race. Many people make a short vacation out of this event and hang around for some Tucson Golfing or maybe take a tour of some of our beautiful Tucson Homes. Come on down, see Tucson at it's best, enjoy yourselves and have a great race! | |
