Trico Electric provides Electrical Service in Northwest Tucson & other outlaying areas surrounding Tucson. If you live in Marana, portions of Northwest Tucson or on the outskirts of Tucson you may be served by Trico Electric.

Trico will usually turn on your Electric Service in Tucson with just a phone call. If the power is already on, just tell them the day you want it switched over to your name and they can take care of it from there. The seller will also be calling them to tell them to turn the power off in their name so Trico will just read the meter and switch the account over to you.

You Usually Do Not Need to be present for the electrical turn on unless Trico requires it.

However, Be Sure that your Electricity is on prior to Southwest Gas coming to turn on your gas. If the power is off, SWG cannot check your gas appliances and will not turn on your gas.

You should call Trico at least a week before your scheduled closing date to make sure they have time to switch over your account.
