Sun City Oro Valley is a well established Retirement Community in Oro Valley just Northwest of Tucson. Sun City is completely built out and most homes were built in the mid 1980's to the mid 1990's. Sun City in Oro Valley is close to everything with shopping just minutes away and the new hospital in Oro Valley is about 2 or 3 minutes away.
Sun City Oro Valley is one of the four main Tucson Retirement Communities and has the most structured activities to offer of any of them. The Views Golf Course, is located here as well as a large community center with a huge community pool and exercise room. There are a couple of large ballrooms and a myriad of small meeting rooms dedicated to various activities. Basically, if you have a hobby or an interest, they have a club for it.
There is a strong sense of community here with lot of friends and things to do. People who live in Sun City just love it. It is a very social group there and they welcome newcomers with open arms. If you're looking for a Retirement Community in Tucson, this is a good one!
Homes in Sun City Oro Valley tend to be on the smaller side with few if any over 3 bedrooms or 2700 square feet or so. The most popular size seems to be a two bedroom with a den configuration in the 1500 to 2500 square foot range.

Driving Directions: Take Oracle Road north just past Oro Valley and turn left on Rancho Vistoso Blvd. About a mile up Rancho Vistoso Blvd you will run into the Sun City Oro Valley Community Center on your right. Map
