La Fuente is a great Tucson Mexican restaurant. Located on the South end of Oracle Road and just a couple miles west of the historic Sam Hughes District La Fuente is easy to get to from almost anywhere in Tucson.
La Fuente (the fountain) is a long time Tucson favorite. At La Fuente you will experience a true Mexican dining experience complete with costumed wait staff, a Mariachi band and a Mexican village decorating theme. If you are looking for Mexican Restaurants in Tucson this is a good place to start. As you enter La Fuente you walk by a fountain which the restaurant is named for and there are lots of pictures on the walls of celebrities who have eaten there in the past including several movie stars and even a President. The theme they have created here reminds us of one of the small Mexican Villages with the Mariachi band wandering around and a casual friendly setting. One time we were there a young teenaged girl at the next table was a musician and she got up and played a violin along with the band. That was pretty cool. La Fuente is basically just a casual, fun, real Mexican experience and we have enjoyed it quite a bit. This is one of the restaurants we take visiting company to when they want to have Mexican food in Tucson. The prices are reasonable and the food is good.
