Rose Canyon Lake is a tiny little lake of about 7 acres up in the Catalina Mountains North of Tucson. They have a campground at Rose Canyon Lake that has over 70 campsites and they do have drinking water available.
Rose Canyon Lake is a cute little lake that is about 29 miles Northeast of Tucson, you need to take the Catalina Highway up to milepost 17 to get to the lake. The lake is at about 7000 feet of elevation so it can be cold up there of an evening. Take along some layered clothes, just in case.
Rainbow Trout are stocked in Rose Canyon Lake and they are really fun to catch. The season up at the lake runs from April to October each year and they also have a concession stand up there.
