Pena Blanca Lake is located South of Tucson about 16 miles north of Nogales off Highway 289. The lake is a small one of about 45 acres in a truly beautiful setting. Large trees surrounding this cute little lake and it is like a little bit of heaven. The lake is at the 4000 foot elevation level and is open year round.
Pena Blanca Lake is another one that is in the Coronado National Forest and it has a Boat Ramp, Campground, Fishing Pier and Picnic Spots. Only electric boat motors are allowed so this little spot is quiet and peaceful.
For Fishing enthusiasts the lake has Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Sunfish and Rainbows! Lots of fish in this cute little lake. There are a couple of Campgrounds there with a total of about 25 or 30 spots, some of which have drinking water.
