Green Valley is a small community located about a half hour south of Tucson. The Town of Green Valley straddles the I-19 Freeway and is a popular golf retirement destination. This small town has a ton of Golf Courses which are lined by subdivisions. Homes in Green Valley are usually less expensive than up in Tucson due to the location a little further away from big city amenities.

It's pretty much all about Retirement in Green Valley and Golf. In fact, many people like to take a little day trip to Green Valley to play some of the excellent courses down there. Sometimes while the guys are golfing the ladies scoot on down to Tubac for lunch and a little shopping.

Not a lot to see or do in Green Valley unless you're a golfer. The shopping and dining venues are limited but there has been quite a bit of new development in those areas in the last few years.

If you're looking for a Golf Retirement Community in Arizona that is close to a large city but not in one, then Green Valley might be just the thing. There is lots of new home construction in Green Valley so there's quite a bit to choose from.

Driving Directions: Head South from Tucson on I-19, after about 20 minutes start watching for the Green Valley Exits. Map
